United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual National Conference to be held September 26-28, 2021 brings together business leaders representing 61 million Americans driving the U.S. economy Washington, D.C. — The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), America’s largest Hispanic business organization, will host the 2021 Virtual Legislative Summit: Policy That Powers America’s Hispanic Business on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 30-31, 2021. The multiday event, which is free for all to attend, will feature several of America’s political and professional leaders, as well as keynote addresses from President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and Vice President Kamala Harris. The USHCC Legislative Summit will begin at 11:00 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 with “America’s Business Future,” a plenary featuring President Biden, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, Chairwoman Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA), Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), and many distinguished others. “As the COVID-19 economic crisis unfolds, Hispanic-owned businesses will continue to be a key driver of America’s economic recovery,” said Ramiro A. Cavazos, President & CEO, United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “The USHCC 2021 Virtual Legislative Summit is a key platform to explore the countless innovative opportunities available and necessary Hispanic business owners through public policy, advocacy, access to technical assistance, capital, capacity building, and new connections to more business.” The USHCC 2021 Virtual Legislative Summit will feature sessions, workshops and panels on federal government contracting for Hispanic-owned businesses, jump-starting the economy through inclusive technology and telecommunications, corporate supplier diversity, and “Building Back America Through Hispanic Businesses,” a plenary featuring Vice President Harris, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), Chairman Ben Cardin (D-MD), Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), Congressman Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH), and Janet Murguía, the President and CEO of UnidosUS. With the approval of President Biden’s American Rescue Plan, the United States enters into a new chapter of economic recovery post-COVID. The plan promises to change the course of the pandemic, delivering immediate and direct relief to families and workers in need, including $15 billion for grants to small businesses and low-income communities. With 4.7 million Hispanic-owned businesses in the country, the American Rescue Plan has the capability to alter the fates of so many Hispanic business owners and their families in a positive manner.
